Well, everything is going badly

Posted by aListers - August 9th, 2015

I've been moving house and everything goes wrong. I got here and I forgot all my chargers (phone, laptop and 3DS) so the only internet source I have is my PC - this I can deal with because it's just like old times. Unfortunatley that means I can't work on anything though so I have a 0% chance of making a clockday flash. Despite that my game development team gave me work to do anyway so I'll be busy this month. Afterwards my flatmate got locked out of his room and had to pay £70 for a locksmith who proceded to open it with a cut open bottle of coke. After that my legs died after having to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs around 7 times. The next morning my legs hurt so badly that I couldn't even bear sitting down at my PC so I've spent most of my time in bed today. Also, this place is a bit of a tip and I've had to clean everything. There are stains on the toilet seat that aren't coming off either. It took a day to figure out how to switch on the hot water too. Now I find out that a new touhou game comes out on clockday which means I have to split my time 5'ing everything and playing a touhou game multiple times until I complete it then laughing at the reactions and arguing about the lore.

Meh, I should still end up enjoying myself this year. It's the time of my life with the lowest power:work ratio. I now have the freedoms of adult life without the responsibility of having to work long hours for the money.

christ, it sounds like the pains of errand day, but saying you've been cleaning up, did you just move into a new place? it'll be the good rest of the year, ya just gotta believe it and it definitely helps doing everything else a little bit more

Yup. Things should be better once everything is in order. The place is pretty much clean now. Things are steadily getting better. Hopefully everything should be fixed once we notify the landlady about all of the flat's problems.

oh my god, this sounds like a really annoying day....
but dont worry!

if you still love and think about the clockcrew, then the battle is not lost! ;)

i have missed many clockdays as well, but i always returned the next day(s), and i fived everything!
and in case i dont have the time to create a clockday movie, i always create a movie early on, lets say for example that i do a short movie in may/june, and i have it ready to be submitted in august.
maybe thats a good advice for you as well.

also, even if you submit a simple loop, or something like a post-card flash movie saying ''happy clockday 20XX'', its still worth it!
trust me...

so, how's life?
also the toilet stains part was very gross, oh man... did your roommate create those stains? eww!

as for the moving house part (sorry if i ask, im curious), you moved into a new house, or you moved into the uni house?

(university)

anyways, mine clockday was also quite static, and unlike others, mine was filled with procastination and bored ideas... but in the end, i had a cool idea, and i submitted it! :D

watch my movie, my friend, and review it, if you want!

have a nice day, and HAPPY CLOCKDAY!!!

(you rock)

I did do my usual 5 everything I see but I didn't do it as much as I've done in the past due to game development work.

Usually I start in about may/june as well but end up getting too lazy to do it till august then start rushing it. Unfortunately I've just blanked on ideas for the last 2 months. I've been under pressure from other things and I've not come up with anything good.

the short style of humour is something I've had trouble managing to do. I recall trying it a long time ago but falling short of ideas. My sense of humour is really hit and miss. A lot of the jokes in my flashes you wouldn't pick up as jokes. However they end up having a joke shortly afterwards which you pick up on. One of these random loops isn't something I'd be able to do.

My roommates didn't create the stains, the people who lived here last did. Nonetheless they seem to be gone now. I just use the other toilet - albeit that one is a bit too small for me. The house seems to be much cleaner now though.

I've moved into private accommodation. I'm out of the uni flat and I'm privately renting a flat with 3 others now.

Yeah, I had no real time for procrastination so I couldn't really think of an idea. Happy clockday
